Ole Miss swept Mississippi State in dramatic fashion Saturday, using a 5-run 9th inning to tie the Bulldogs and then winning it in the 10th.
Not only did the win give the Rebels a season sweep of Mississippi State, but it also cements a 7-0 mark against the Bulldogs in Football, Basketball and Baseball for the first time since 1972.
Ole Miss may as well have put a torch to the "This is Our State" marketing campaign with Saturday's victory.
The Rebels improved to 28-24 (14-13 SEC), while the Bulldogs fell to 24-27 (8-19 SEC).
Sikes Orvis hit two home runs on the day.
Colby Bortles had the 2-RBI hit in the bottom of the 9th that sent the game into extras.
