The Long Ole Miss Weekend

What if I told you that you can watch two Ole Miss basketball games and three Ole Miss baseball games this weekend without ever leaving your house?

If this weekend was a 30 for 30 it would show me in the kitchen or on the grill cooking my favorite game-watching foods (chili, burgers, steaks, BBQ....it's all on the table as options for this weekend), Rebels on the big screen, spatula in one hand and a drink of my choosing in the other with an iPhone nearby in case I need to fire off the perfect Tweet.

Four straight days of Ole Miss action. I'm stoked.

The SEC Network (and SEC Network +) is a beautiful thing.

It all starts Thursday at 6 p.m., (ESPN) when the Rebels look to extend that 5-game winning streak when they tip off against Florida in Gainesville. A win at Florida and a 6-game streak would surely impress the Bracketologists, right?

On Friday Ole Miss begins its quest for its next trip to Omaha as the Rebels start a season-opening series against William & Mary (Friday at 4 p.m., Saturday at 1:30 p.m. , Sunday at 1:30 p.m., all games streamed on SEC Network +). Is Christian Trent ready to be the staff ace? How will Ole Miss replace the offense it lost from 2014? I'm interested in these things, but really, I just can't wait to see baseball again. It's been too long since that College World Series.

We'll stay up late Saturday to watch the Rebels take on the Arkansas Razorbacks inside sold out Tad Smith Coliseum (8 p.m., SEC Network). Is a 7-game winning streak too much to ask? No.

There's so much to look forward to on this long Ole Miss weekend.
