#OleMiss coaches doing work out there in Florida today, tons of big name kids seen. #HottyToddy

His primary target was CeCe Jefferson, and that visit seemed to go as well as it could.

But just a little while later in the evening, while we were watching Ole Miss lose to Georgia, came the horrible news out of Alabama regarding Nigerian phenom Prince Tega Wanogho, the giant defensive end every coach in the SEC is suddenly after. According to Twitter the worst thing that could ever happen to someone on the cusp of a major college football scholarship happened to Wanogho while playing in a high school basketball game.
Edgewood star DE Prince Tega just snapped his leg. It's bad.

It must have been an awful scene, sitting in that hushed high school gymnasium while trainers and doctors tended to Wanogho.
Coaches/trainers huddled around him. Whole place is silent. Shades of Prothro injury pic.twitter.com/ENgdkyIb5J

Everybody in that gym had the bright future of Wanogho flashing before their eyes. Just the thought of that scene is devastating, and I don't even know Wanogho.
But that's when Hugh Freeze did that thing that makes him Hugh Freeze.
First school to contact Coach Bobby Carr of Edgewood Academy is Hugh Freeze. Prince Tega Wanogho still has an #OleMiss offer. @NealMcCready

Man, doesn't Hugh just warm your heart? What an awesome gesture, especially considering that Freeze had no knowledge as to the severity of Wanogho's injury.
And I know Freeze did it because he wanted to extend hope to Wanogho and those that love him during those desperate and scary minutes. He had no motive other than compassion.
And that seemed to have been noticed by CeCe Jefferson.
Man I love coach freeze! Such a great man.

I can only assume Jefferson's Tweet was in response to what was happening in Alabama, or maybe he just really likes Freeze. In any event, it sounds like Freeze had a successful trip to Florida.
Here's the latest on Wanogho. Let's all lift up a prayer for him this morning.
UPDATE: Wanogho apparently received a good report from his doctors this morning. This tweet is from his high school coach:
Tega is in surgery now. Docs say he should be good to go in may and running down QB's next fall somewhere in the SEC! pic.twitter.com/B2tqcV8D4j

UPDATE 2: Freeze made a stop in Alabama to visit Prince Tega in the hospital Wednesday.
