It's been a busy week around here!
First, I developed an App, which took a week's worth of tinkering to get right. It's available in the Google Play store now, and I think you'll really like it. It brings everything together in one place right on your phone: The Blog, the Message Board, Jake's Take and the Reb & Blue Store. Plus, I added a daily update that's exclusive to the App to incentivize you to go download the App.
And don't worry - it's all free.
Next, we added some fabulous new merchandise to RebBlue.com, including two Reb & Blue t-shirts and a wristband. You will love these shirts, and you'll probably want a wristband for every member of the family. Obviously, I'm very proud of this stuff. Please go to RebBlue.com and see what's there. Also, if you're in Oxford this weekend be sure to stop at the Oxford Exxon on Highway 6 (next to Cannon Motors). There's you'll find all of the new Reb & Blue merchandise, plus some of the FinsUp shirts.
Okay, so those two paragraphs were short, but believe me when I tell you it took much longer to do what I wrote up there than it did to write the two paragraphs. Much!
Now onto the business at hand...No. 14 Ole Miss plays Louisiana-Lafayette tomorrow, and the only thing riding on it is basically the entire season. That's right. The entire season. Ole Miss can't accomplish its dreams and lose to the Ragin Cajuns. So while it may be easy to relax and think this little Sun Belt team from south Louisiana is no big deal, the consequences to this game are huge.
Win, and Ole Miss improves to 3-0, moves up a little more in the rankings, and gets to enjoy a bye week while awaiting Memphis and (gulp) Alabama, with a strong likelihood that ESPN's College GameDay sets up in the Grove on October 4. Ole Miss is probably in the Top 10 and a national story for that one, too.
Lose, and well, a very promising season just went into the dumpster.
