"He is so far from being in the shape he would need to be in to play full-time quarterback," Freeze said in March. "We’re going to have to have that talk with him. Not that he can’t do it sometimes, but I don’t know that he’ll ever be able to be a full-time quarterback at the weight he’s at right now. I think he can help us somewhere. We’ve got to wade through all that.”
Since then Liggins has been through strength coach Paul Jackson's off-season workouts and Freeze likes the results. The difference sounds like night and day.
"Absolute phenomenal work," Freeze said at SEC Media Days. "Couldn't be happier with Jeremy Liggins. He looks like a million bucks. He's running around, he's down to about 280. I don't know where we're going to play him yet, but he's going to help us."

With three quarterbacks above Liggins on the depth chart, the question Freeze now faces is where to play the talented athlete. Presumably DeVante Kincade will play a role similar to that played by Barry Brunetti, entering the game in running situations or to give the defense a different look. With Bo Wallace as the undisputed starter that doesn't leave many snaps available to Liggins at quarterback.
But Freeze seems determined to use him somewhere:
