Ole Miss finished an improbable bowl season with a 38-17 win over Pitt in today's BBVA Compass Bowl. It was a domination made complete with both pizazz and brawn, leaving the Panthers wanting a bus ticket back to Pittsburgh by the end of the 3rd quarter.
There's so much to write about this game. The incredible defense, Mike Marry's awesome backfield hits, Bo Wallace's touchdown passes and Randall Mackey's stellar catch, not to mention the coming out performances of freshmen running backs I'Tavius Mathers and Jaylen Walton. All of it was a feast for the Rebel fan's soul. Seven wins! A Rebel resurrection! The return of joy to Ole Miss football! Now there's 8 months to dream about the bright future ahead.
