Ole Miss Morning Delivery: Rebels Ranked

Things are about to get tough for Ole Miss basketball. The Rebels are ranked in both polls now (No. 23 AP, No. 24 USA Today Coaches). There's no surprising anybody anymore. From here on out every team Ole Miss plays will be gunning for for the Rebels with its best effort, starting with Tennessee on Thursday night, a team Ole Miss beat soundly in the SEC opener. The Volunteers badly want to avoid a repeat performance of that 92-74 loss led by Marshall Henderson's 32 points.
It's just the latest big game for the Rebels, but it seems with each one the gravity of the moment grows because with each game Ole Miss can accomplish that much more. This time Ole Miss will be playing on ESPN2 with Rece Davis and Bobby Knight doing the featured broadcast. It's a showcase game, and another chance for the Rebels to make noise on the national scene. It'll be interesting to see how they respond to their new status as a Top 25 team.
