Laremy Tunsil and his stepdad squared off in court on Friday over the continuation of an order of protection against Tunsil.
It did NOT go well for Lindsey Miller.
His first mistake was showing up without a lawyer.
Don't ever do that - especially if you suspect the other side will have a lawyer.
Meanwhile, Tunsil had the Ole Miss football team's go-to lawyer, Steve Farese, who successfully exposed Miller as a money-hungry stepdad trying to use Tunsil as a meal ticket...literally.
The really incredible part about the day was who wasn't at court.
The Clarion Ledger, which had reported every one-sided statement made by Miller leading up to Friday's hearing, didn't bother to actually attend the hearing where it could have finally heard and reported how Miller's accusations held up to cross-examination. Frankly, considering the role that the Clarion Ledger has played in blowing up this story, that's appalling. LINK
Today's court date was just about the order of protection. The domestic violence charges are still pending, but after the way things went on Friday I have a feeling we won't hear much more from Lindsey Miller. He has to see the writing on the wall. The parties can still drop the charges and it's in everybody's best interest that they do. Tunsil needs to worry about football, and Miller badly doesn't need another hour with Steve Farese. Drop those charges and everybody wins.
