Ole Miss 69, Texas A&M 59

The Ole Miss Rebels capped a fun National Signing Day with a big win over Texas A&M (15-6, 6-3 SEC) on Wednesday night at Tad Smith Coliseum. An already NCAA Tournament worthy resume was bolstered all the more with a win over the Aggies (ranked 31st on the NCAA RPI). Ole Miss has won four straight with a strong chance to make it five at struggling Auburn (10-11, 2-6 SEC)  Saturday (5:30 p.m., SEC Network).

Stefan Moody led the Rebels with 19 points. M.J. Rhett added 11.

Jarvis Summers and LaDarius White struggled, shooting a combined 3 of 19 from the field. A couple weeks ago that might have spelled doom for Ole Miss, but this team seems to be steadily improving. Almost everybody contributed, and as a result the Rebels were able to overcome the lack of scoring from their biggest scorers. Texas A&M is no slouch, having won six straight before falling to the Rebels. This one should give Ole Miss (No. 48 RPI) a decent bump in RPI and in the Tournament projections.

Ole Miss improved to 15-7 (6-3 SEC) and moved into 2nd place in the conference with the win.
