In what may have been the worst weather conditions in which a college baseball game was ever played Sikes Orvis managed to hit a home run on a 2-for-3 day at the plate that produced 4 RBI. Christian Trent struck out 9 and allowed one run in 6.0 innings to get the win, improving to 11-0 as a Rebel and 2-0 on the season.
Ole Miss is now 3-1. The Rebels play Wright State again today at 1:30. The high is a balmy 55 degrees, but much rain is in the forecast. Gotta love February baseball.
More Sikes Orvis: "I’m really glad I had the beard and I had enough girth to keep me warm." Got to love it.

Safe to say it was a frigid game. Icicles on the dugout fence. pic.twitter.com/RR0SePKjUR

Keith Kessinger, a life spent in baseball, said today was the worst conditions he's ever seen for a game. "And I played in Iowa," he said.
