The Next Quon

Only after Laquon Treadwell was hurt did we learn just how much Ole Miss needs more depth at receiver, and that became especially true after Vince Sanders was injured in the Egg Bowl.

That's yet another reason why 4-star receiver DeMarkus Lodge would be a great pickup for Ole Miss.

The Cedar Hill (Texas) standout DeMarkus Lodge (6-foot-2, 185 pounds) recently told NOLA.com he wouldn't mind being the next Treadwell at Ole Miss.
"I just want to get down there and see what they are about," Lodge said. "... see what its like for a weekend. I know (receiver) Laquon Treadwell is down there and when he leaves, they are not going to have that guy. Our game is kind of similar. We are both big strong, receivers and I could step in and take his spot."
Lodge is expected to take his official visit to Ole Miss on January 23. He is still deciding between Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor and Oklahoma for his other official visits.

Current Ole Miss receiver Quincy Adeboyejo also played at Cedar Hill and is actively recruiting Lodge.
