Super Recruiting Weekend is almost here for Ole Miss.
That's an unofficial title given by me, but this coming weekend is the one Ole Miss coaches have been waiting for, to convince the most high-profile and highly rated recruits on their list to become Rebels. As part of Freeze's strategy Ole Miss tries to assemble as many of the biggest names to experience Ole Miss and Oxford at the same time in hopes that the energy created by their presence on campus will create an infectious buzz. It's the strategy that was employed in 2013 when the Rebels landed the Top 5 class that included Robert Nkemdiche, Laquon Treadwell and Laremy Tunsil, and that year it worked to near perfection.
This is that giant weekend all over again for 2015.
DaMarkus Lodge, Leo Lewis, Drew Richmond, CeCe Jefferson and Van Jefferson are among the high school stars expected in Oxford. These are the players Freeze hopes to center Ole Miss around in 2016 and 2017.
Once on campus....Ole Miss recruits itself.
"I’ve often believed and will say that if we can get a young man to campus," Freeze said back in 2013, "and they see the beauty of Ole Miss, the passion of its people, the love that they all have for this great university, the fact that there’s a rich tradition and six SEC championships, three national championships..."
The hard part's over after these kids visit Ole Miss and hit the town square.
This will be a big weekend for the 2015 recruiting class and the future of Ole Miss football.
ANOTHER BIG TACKLE
Ole Miss will soon get a visit from 4-star offensive tackle Willie Allen.
I'll be at ole miss on January 30th #HottyToddy

Allen is 6-foot-7, 300 pounds, and considered one of the best at his position. The offensive line is a position group all Rebels want to shore up. If Ole Miss could get Allen to go along with Drew Richmond you could consider that mission accomplished.
FREEZE TO VISIT PHENOM
Expect Ole Miss to be the latest to offer Nigerian phenom Prince Tega Wanogho Jr., a 6-foot-8, 245-pound defensive end who has played just one year of football at Alabama's Edgewood Academy. Hugh Freeze is reportedly visiting Wanogho this week, but he'll be just one of many SEC coaches in hot pursuit of the huge defensive end.
Wanogho is the biggest recruiting story in football because of his explosion on the scene and because he very recently discovered he had enough credits to become a member of the 2015 signing class. In short, everybody wants him.
