Hugh Freeze promoted from within, naming Corey Batoon to replace departed linebackers coach Tom Allen. The Ole Miss coaching staff seems like a tight-knit group, and Freeze fosters and rewards that closeness with loyalty. Batoon has been with Freeze since Arkansas State and was working as assistant athletics director of recruiting operations for the last three seasons. I'm not sure whether Batoon will also be Allen's job as special teams coordinator, but boy, I sure hope whoever inherits that gig can figure out how to get a punt returner on the field. LINK.
