It's the bridge that binds that time between Christmas and New Year's Day together and gives us an endless supply of football.
It keeps the Holiday spirit alive even after Christmas is over and we're back at work.
Bowls even give us football on Monday's and Tuesday's. What could be better than that? Nothing I say. Nothing.
The bowls will be the centerpiece of New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
When the clock strikes midnight on those first seconds of 2015 we'll be toasting Ole Miss victory (hopefully) and reminiscing about that Egg Bowl win while sharing a laugh over Dan Mullen's Hawaiian shirt and his offensive play calling in the Orange Bowl.
Bowl times are the best of times.
I feel sorry for all those fans of teams that didn't get bowl invites.
Those fans with nothing to look forward to are who make me especially grateful for the work Hugh Freeze has done in getting the Rebels to a bowl for three consecutive years. We're fortunate.
Just three years ago we were stuck at home trying out best to cheer for the SEC while wondering when our time would come.
Well thanks to Freeze, our time is now.
Happy Bowl Season!
Let's unwrap one last Hotty Toddy present together as we ring in 2015.
