“Fahn (Cooper) has definitely come on the last few days,” Freeze said. “Robert (Conyers) is getting reps over there, as is (Craig) Frigo and Rod Taylor. We’re kind of doing that by committee, but it looks like Fahn is kind of emerging. Robert looked good there too. Fahn is coming on now that he has a better understanding.”

Cooper Staking Claim to Right Tackle
To no one's real surprise Fahn Cooper is starting to get the edge in the competition for starting right tackle.
Cooper, a 6-5, 312-pound junior who once started at Bowling Green, has more experience than Robert Conyers or Davion Johnson, and he's been the odds-on favorite to be the starter for most of the summer, but he missed spring practice while getting eligible in junior college, which means he has some catching up to do. That Cooper is starting to "emerge" as the front-runner at right tackle this early in August is a good sign for the offensive line.
