Swamp People vs. Ole Miss Scouting Report

I could try to tell you about Louisiana-Lafayette - a team I haven't watched play all season - but I wouldn't do near as good a job as Baseball America's Aaron Fitt. Fitt talked to anonymous coaches who tell you everything you ever wanted to know about Louisiana-Lafayette (Spoiler Alert: They get called really good a lot).

You'll also enjoy reading the scouting report of Ole Miss, which includes nuggets like this:
This is the team Mike (Bianco)’s been waiting on, a lot of juniors and seniors. If they’re going to win a national championship, this is the year they could do it.
I Tweeted a few Ragin Cajun facts earlier today, starting with their record:
I also looked at how UL-L did against a few common opponents:
Of course, you also know the Cajuns won two straight against Mississippi State to win their Regional last weekend. They're obviously a good ball club with a lot of wins. The way they overcame a Friday night loss against Jackson State to run through their Regional and take out State from the elimination bracket showed their 57 wins are more than just a Sun Belt Conference aberration. Eight Swamp People hit .300 or better, starting with Caleb Adams (.387, 11 HR, 42 RBI) and Jace Conrad (.377, 9 HR, 65 RBI) and down from there. The entire lineup can bomb. The Swamp People have 66 home runs on the year. By comparison, the Rebels hit 39 homers this season. I could go on and on with numbers and such, but the fact is the Ragin Cajuns are a team full of bearded muscled up swamp men. Get ready.

Ole Miss has its work cut out for it, but as long as Chris Ellis and Christian Trent are pitching I still like the Rebels' chances.

HECKLED: The guys at Red Cup Rebellion posted a must-read interview with a Washington Husky outfielder about what it was like to be heckled mercilessly.
