Omaha at Last

It was a beautiful day in Omaha:
The Ole Miss Rebels boarded a plane and headed that way for the first time in 14 years under head coach Mike Bianco.

Needless to say, he was a little excited.
And though Ole Miss is headed to the College World Series for the first time since 1972, the Rebels were still loose enough to have a little fun on the airplane.

Group selfie time!
A short flight later....
The welcome sign couldn't just say "Ole Miss", but hey, it was a nice gesture. At least the friendly Midwesterners didn't make this mistake twice:
Once on the ground, the Rebels did what everyone does in Omaha - eat steak.

Of course! I'm guessing Orvis ate his medium rare, and Bianco had his well done. Just a hunch.

Back at the hotel, the Rebels were surprised with Nike swag. They liked.
Colby "Boom Boom" Bortles really, really liked the gloves.
I never knew Bortles had such small feet.

Ole Miss starts the College World Series Sunday against Virginia (7 p.m., ESPN2).
