If Christian Trent gets his way the Rebels will spend at least one more night in Omaha. Trent (9-0, 2.21 ERA) was in this same position a week ago when the Rebels were in a must-win situation against Louisiana-Lafayette and gave up just one run in leading Ole Miss to a 5-2 victory. Now he needs to do it again.
It's not all on Trent's shoulders.
The Rebels got just one hit in their World Series debut against Virginia that ended in a 2-1 loss. Much more will be needed today for Ole Miss to survive. It falls to guys like Will Allen, Auston Bousfield and Austin Anderson - the guys with the bats that brought the Rebels to Omaha - to put some runs on the scoreboard.
