McKenzie Drops Notre Dame

Isaiah McKenzie, the four-star from Florida also known as "The Human Joystick" for his amazing ability to change directions and make people miss, reportedly dropped Notre Dame from consideration yesterday. It's interesting to see that McKenzie noticed the message board comments:
It appears to be between Ole Miss, Florida and possibly Virginia Tech now. McKenzie could possibly visit Virginia Tech this weekend according to reports.

I never get tired of watching McKenzie's hightlight video. The kid is amazing:

The players to watch between now and signing day along with who else wants them:

1. Malachi Dupre - UCLA, Alabama, Florida State
2. McKenzie - Florida, Virginia Tech
3. Mike Sawyers - Could be visiting Tennessee this weekend.
4. Terrence Alexander - Stanford wants him, too.
5. Jordan Sims - An offer from Auburn is the main concern.

If I had to name one among those five the Rebels could use the most I couldn't. Ole Miss needs more depth on the offensive line, so Sims is almost vital. Alexander is an excellent corner prospect and the Rebels need help at that position, too. The defensive line could use a talented kid like Sawyers. McKenzie looks like a Dexter McCluster type of game-breaker, and of course who wouldn't want Dupre?

Will Ole Miss land all five of these kids on February 6? Probably not, but they've all been to campus, and you know what they say about getting recruits on the sacred soil of Ole Miss....
