For example, Monday night Hugh Freeze and an assistant or two were in Dallas visiting 3-star Dallas Skyline linebacker and verbal commit Victor Evans.

Ole Miss is looking for a player to fill the void to be left by departing senior middle linebacker Mike Marry. Per the Clarion Ledger's John Talty:Russell was looking for a school with ample early playing time opportunities. He found that in Ole Miss. When Ole Miss coaches met with him Monday, they told him that if he does everything he needs to do, he has a very good chance to start at the MIKE linebacker position next year.
If you saw Russell at all this season, that shouldn’t surprise you. The 6-foot, 240-pound linebacker played a huge role in East Mississippi’s undefeated season. The former North Carolina commit led the team with 83 tackles this season.
“Since January he’s come a million miles as a player,” East Mississippi defensive coordinator Jordan Lesley said. “He’s super athletic, very talented and super fast. Sometimes he played a little out of control, but he’s really been the rock of the defense.”
