I am... AN OLE MISS REBEL!!! #HottyToddy @CoachMattLuke @CoachHughFreeze

Eli Johnson, a 6-foot-2, 290-pound Lafayette County sophomore offensive lineman, helped his high school to a Class 4A state championship this season. An offer from coach Matt Luke sealed the deal for Johnson.
“I was his first offer in the 2016 class on the offensive line,” Johnson said. “Ole Miss is starting to become an elite offensive line offer. They got Laremy Tunsil and Austin Golson last year, Rod Taylor and almost got Andy Bauer this year. I think if I want to get to that next level, I’m going to have to compete against the best.”
Johnson plays right tackle at Lafayette, but likely projects as a center at Ole Miss. He has started since his freshman year and helped Lafayette to the Class 4A state championship this season.
“He’s been solid for us all year,” Lafayette County coach Eric Robertson said. “He’s an aggressive football player and that’s what we like about him from an offensive line standpoint. He does a good job finishing blocks.”Click to read more.
Meanwhile, somewhere out there on the recruiting trail on this cold Tuesday night....
