It's mid-January and Ole Miss is already considered "in" by the bracketologists that be for the Rebels' body of work to date. It's still early in the season, with many games to play, but considering how weak the Ole Miss schedule was considered to be and how many had the Rebels "out" before the season began it's worth pointing out that this team is turning some heads.
Ole Miss (13-2, 2-0 SEC) will turn even more heads if they can beat Vanderbilt tonight. Andy Kennedy is 1-6 against the Commodores since becoming head coach, and Ole Miss has lost six straight in Nashville. No matter how bad Vanderbilt (6-8, 0-2) may be this season, wins at its house don't come easy. If the Rebels can pull it off, there will be a lot more Ole Miss chatter to come.
Bracketology: Ole Miss is a 9 seed in KC, says Lunardi. OM is a 9 seed in Lexington, says Palm. espn.go.com/mens-college-b… cbssports.com/collegebasketb…
