Ole Miss Recruiting About to Get Real

by Jake Adams

Last night, around about the same time Ole Miss was celebrating its 92-74 pounding of Tennessee this rolled across the twitter feed:
That's right, the nation's No. 1 wide receiver, who still has a visit remaining with Oklahoma State, is ready to commit, and he hasn't been shy about his affection for Ole Miss. Many of you reported to me during the BBVA Compass Bowl that you were sitting at or near Treadwell, and of course I saw plenty of pictures. Never before have I seen a recruit, a school and its fans so in love with one another before signing day. I guess we can all thank Twitter for that. All that said it's hard to see Treadwell going somewhere else, but you never know until there's ink on paper.

Here's the type of impact Tweadwell's commitment could have on the Ole Miss signing class.
If Treadwell's commitment would vault the Rebels from No. 20 to No. 13, just imagine what a Robert Nkemdiche, a Carl Lawson or a Laremy Tunsil would do to it. We're probably talking Top 5, but that's just an educated guess.

And there's more.

Another highly coveted prospect, Kailo Moore, plans to announce his commitment at 10 a.m., tomorrow. Of course there's no guarantee he'll go the Rebels' way. All we have to go on is his statements to the Clarion Ledger's John Talty:
“I talked to Tony (Conner) last night,” (Moore) said. “He and I are going to the same college. We’ve talked about (staying in-state) a lot. Tony and I have done some undercover recruiting. We are trying to get the best players at the same school. We are trying to keep the best players in-state.”
Moore recently decommited from Mississippi State. With that in mind, reading between the lines, it looks a whole lot like Ole Miss could land the fleet-footed running back from Rosedale.
The momentum could begin to start building tomorrow. We'll find out together...probably on Twitter.
