Decision: LSU, Ole Miss, Minnesota, TCU, Tulane, Kentucky
Duke Riley is considered one of the best linebackers in Louisiana, a recruiting hotbed, which in and of itself makes Riley one of the best available. Riley is definitely a target of Ole Miss, but he recently received a grey shirt offer from LSU which Riley says he is seriously considering.
Why Ole Miss Could Get Him: Riley has visited Ole Miss several times, and tells those who have asked that he really likes the atmosphere, coaches and players at Ole Miss. Riley also likes the Rebels' dramatic improvement from 2011 to 2012 and believes Ole Miss is a program on the upswing, noting the amount of attention the Rebels are receiving from other high profile recruits. But for Ole Miss to land Riley it'll have to beat out the home favorite LSU Tigers.
Why Ole Miss Needs Him: Ole Miss does not currently have a linebacker committed. The Rebels found themselves a great stinger this year in freshman All-American Denzel Nkemdiche, but a team needs more than one. Backup Aaron Garbutt is a senior. The Rebels need to continue to build depth at linebacker, and stinger is the position Riley expects to play. Riley would be a prized addition to the Ole Miss defense.
