Tuesday Question

Melvin Gordon ran for 2,587 yards in 2014.
Wisconsin's Melvin Gordon rushed for 2,587 yards at Wisconsin, averaging 7.5 yards per carry. Nick Chubb rushed for 1,547 yards at Georgia (7.1 yards per carry), and he wasn't the full-time running back until Todd Gurley's suspension. By anyone's standards, Gordon and Chubb are elite college running backs.

Now imagine you could insert either one of those elite running backs in the 2014 Ole Miss offense with the same quarterback, receivers and, yes, the same offensive line, running Hugh Freeze's scheme.

Keep in mind that Ole Miss' leading rushers finished the 2014 season as follows:

Jaylen Walton: 586 yards (5.5 avg)
Jordan Wilkins: 419 yards (8.1 avg)
I'Tavius Mathers: 290 yards (4.3 avg)

How many yards would Melvin Gordon or Nick Chubb have gained as 2014 Rebels?

a) 1500+
b) 1200+
c) 1000+
d) less than 1000
e) about the same as Walton
